Coronavirus in Romania: 4.424 new cases and 88 deaths

4.424 new coronavirus cases have been reported in Romania in the last 24 hours and 88 Romanians have died, according to the report of the Strategic Communications Group (GCS) on Wednesday. One death was recorded in the age group 30-39 years.

To date, on 13 January, on the territory of Romania, 681.392 cases of persons infected with the new coronavirus (COVID - 19) have been confirmed. 610.122 patients have been declared cured.

Following the tests performed at national level, compared to the last report, 4.424 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) have been reported, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test.

Aside from the newly confirmed cases, following the retesting of patients who were already positive, 1.000 people were reconfirmed as infected.

To date, 16.969 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 12.01.2021 and 13.01.2021, 88 deaths were reported (57 men and 31 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeş, Bihor, Bistriţa-Năsăud, Botoşani, Brăila, Buzău, Călăraşi, Caraş-Severin, Constanţa, Dâmboviţa, Dolj, Galaţi, Harghita, Ialomiţa, Iaşi, Maramureş, Prahova, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Suceava, Timiş, Vâlcea and Bucharest.
