Defence Ministry: Another 20 employees of Focşani Military Hospital, confirmed with COVID-19

Another 20 employees of the Focşani Military Hospital, among the medical and healthcare personnel, have been confirmed with COVID-19, after previously, a doctor and a nurse were infected with coronavirus, announces the Ministry of National Defence (MApN).

"Following the conduct of the epidemiological investigation at the Military Emergency Hospital" dr. Alexandru Popescu "Focşani, among the 57 close contacts of the two people initially confirmed positively with COVID-19, resulted that a further 20 employees among the medical and health care personnel were also confirmed positive", according to MApN.

MApN's medical department ordered the hospital management to take all necessary measures in this situation.

"Thus, the epidemiological investigation will continue, being extended also to the contacts of the personnel found positive today. At the same time, very high-level disinfection continues in all areas of the hospital", the Ministry added.

At this time, the hospital remains closed and solutions are being sought so as after the completion of the epidemiological investigation and taking the measures provided by the national protocol for the positive staff confirmed, the activity of providing medical assistance in the spaces and sections where this will be possible can be resumed.
