Early Polls Show 5.43% Romanians Vote In Referendum

Early polls show that 5.43% of Romanians expressed their opinion regarding the referendum on introducing the uninominal voting system on Sunday until 11.00 a.m.

In urban areas, 4.56%, of people exercised their right to vote while in rural areas the percentage rose to 6.63% .

In 21 counties, among which Tulcea – 8.01%, Vaslui – 7.57%, Teleorman – 7.42%, Covasna – 7.38%, Botoşani – 7.20%, turnout at voting sections rose above the national average.

Bucharest 4.11%, Ilfov – 4.15%, Prahova – 4.38%, Cluj – 4.42%, Maramures – 4.53% were the counties with the lowest turnout.
