European Courts To Acknowledge Romania’s Forensic Investigations

European courthouses will admit as evidence the forensic investigations conducted by the Romanian Police Department following the accreditation of seven national services within the Criminalistic Institute.

According to a press release issued Friday by the Romania Police Department four days ago, seven services within the Criminology Institute , those in Caras, Bihor, Brasov, Giurgiu, Iasi, Buzau and Timis received accreditation from Romania’s Accreditation Association, or RENAR, regarding fulfilling quality standards.   

In 2007, experts within the Criminalistic Institute trained some 600 forensic detectives in view of implementing the quality management system at local level.
