Iordanescu replaces Teodor Filipescu, who Monday announced his resignation from the position stating he is suffering form certain health problems. Iordanescu declared for Mediafax that he would give up coaching at least throughout the period of his mandate

Iordanescu is to be officially appointed by Monday at the latest.

The former coach, who is worth an estimated EUR20 million, is currently increasing his income by leasing numerous dwellings he holds all across capital city Bucharest.
