Romanian Security Co BGS Mulls Floating 30% Stake On Nasdaq

Romanian security company BGS plans to float a 30% stake on US-based stock exchange Nasdaq, and to invest $5 million for the acquisition and development of a security company in the USA.

In 2008, BGS’ security division reported EUR22 million in turnover, while its medical division posted a EUR1.7 million turnover, the group said in a press release Thursday.

Since the beginning of the year, the company invested around EUR2.5 million in equipment and creating new jobs.

BGS is 80% owned by Romanian businessman Bogdan Oprea, while natural persons Costin and Daniel Oprea equally hold the rest of the shares.
