Reception of 4,500 projects for PNRR money, on the last hundred meters
Ilie Bolojan had discussions on Thursday with prefectures and representatives of other institutions in the territory responsible for projects for European money to mobilize, in order not to delay them beyond the deadline. The Prime Minister also said that for each work that will not be received on the date established with the European Commission, there will be penalties.
The discussions were attended by the interim Minister of Health, the interim Minister of Justice, as well as state secretaries from the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Energy.
4500 works, not completed until now
The interim Prime Minister says that most of the projects in the PNRR targeted the field of Education or the Ministry of Development, where the projects would have fallen under the responsibility of the mayors.
„European funds and those from the state budget have financed, in these years, important works, from highways and railway electrification to the construction of hospitals, the encapsulation of apartment buildings, the development of green spaces and other local investments. The completion and reception of the projects financed through the PNRR is a priority in the next two weeks”, the head of the executive specified.
In June, the Government representatives had discussions in Brussels with the European Commission and negotiated the deadline for completing the PNRR. They were given 2 more months, until the end of August.
