Romania 39/61 Most Sought After By Retailers

Romania ranks 39th of 61 in a world ranking by the top 250 retail companies, drawn up by real estate agency CB Richard Ellis (CBRE), overtaking countries sucha s Norway, Luxemburg, Finland or Brazil.

According to CBRE, the Romanian market is operated by over 20% of the top 250 retailers analyzed.

The top-sought country for retail is Great Britain, where 55% of the companies analyzed are present, followed by Spain with over 50%.

In Central and Eastern Europe, Poland with 35%, the Czech Republic with some 33%, and Hungary with 27% are ahead of Romania, ranking 16th, 22nd and 27th respectively. However, Bulgaria with 15%, is outranked by Romania, and so are Slovakia and Ukraine (both with over 15%).

Regionally, the lowest presence of analyzed retailers was registered in Estonia, where only 10% of the companies operate.

In the world ranking, Romania is followed by Norway, Luxemburg, Finland and Brazil.

CBRE included in the ranking 61 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia Pacific and America and analyzed solely the activity of foreign retailers on these market, excluding local retailers.
