Romania Ranks Fourth In Deloitte’s 2009 Technology FAST 50 Central Europe Chart

Romania is ranked fourth in the 2009 edition of the Technology FAST 50 chart, compiled by audit company Deloitte with respect for the growth of revenues seen by IT companies in Central Europe between 2004 and 2008.

Romania Ranks Fourth In Deloitte’s 2009 Technology FAST 50 Central Europe Chart

Deloitte Technology FAST 50 Central Europe, at its tenth edition, includes the top 50 most dynamic IT companies in the region, based on the increase of revenues. Also, companies need to hold copyright claims that contribute significantly to operating revenues, or to invest a substantial amount of revenues in technology research and development.

In the 2008 edition, Romania had three companies in the chart. The 2009 ranking is led by Hungary (11 companies), Poland (9 companies) and the Czech Republic (8 companies).

In this year's edition, over half of Romanian IT companies registered in the competition qualified in the final chart, and two of them were among the top ten, namely software developers TeamNet International Bucharest, with an increase rate of 3,317%, ranking second, and Arobs Transilvania Software Cluj-Napoca, with a rate of 1,663%, ranking eighth.

The list of Romanian companies qualified in the final chart also includes Lasting Software Timisoara, ranked 29, with a 487% increase in revenues, The Red Point Iasi, ranked 35, with a 430% increase in revenues, Advantage Software Factory Bucharest, ranked 45, and a 350% increase and Romanian Soft Company Bucharest, ranked 47, with 312%.

The finalists in the regional chart will be automatically nominated in the Technology FAST 500 EMEA competition, which includes companies in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Last tear, Romania was represented by two companies among the top 10 finalists, namely Arobs Transilvania, ranked 49, and TeamNet International, ranked 71.
