Residential building works fell 35.9% on the year in September, while civil engineering works and non-residential constructions were down 12.7% and 0.3% respectively.

Compared with August, the construction output rose 4% in September.

Non-residential constructions were up 10.1% on the month, while civil engineering works saw a 4.3% increase and residential constructions rose 1.4% in September.

In January to September, Romania’s construction output fell 15.7% compared with the same period of 2009, according to the statistics data.

The data are adjusted for the number of working days and seasonal factors.
