In his opinion, the government’s failure to observe the decision of the country’s most important institutions, namely the Parliament, Constitutional Court and Presidency, is “the best reason to call for a no-confidence vote".

"If this government can’t apply the decisions of the Parliament, if it can’t act as a government, it must go,” Bolcas said.

Romanian democrat liberal leader Emil Boc said Saturday the party will call for a no-confidence vote in parliament if the government takes responsibility for a law blocking the 50% wage hike for teachers which the head of state passed Friday.

Boc also said Monday that the party would file legal action against Romanian Premier Calin Tariceanu if the latter adopts a government ordinance to block the law granting a 50% wage hike for staff in the education system.
