Romanian Liberal Antonescu Maintains Hopes For Place In Presidential Runoff

"I would ask my representatives and those of the National Liberal Party in the polling stations to disregard these false polls, blatant lies, for which someone will have to answer. (…) We have a chance to go to the runoff," Antonescu said.

The liberal candidate said he is happy that he has managed to offer Romanians a signal of common sense and show them they have the possibility to decide Romania's fate.

Antonescu concluded by saying that whoever wins this race, the liberals fought fairly.
