Tulpan said he will leave for Mexico with two mountain climbers, Dragos Nedelcu and Claudia Damoc.

Tulpan said this expedition will last a month and a half, and its purpose is to reach the highest peak in Mexico, the Orizaba peak, on a 5,736-meter high volcano which has not been active for 400 years.

An initial press release announcing a conference on the subject of the expedition read that Tuplan was to leave alone.

Tulpan is a voluntary member of the Mountain Rescuers Association in Sibiu, central Romania, and he works as ski instructor and tour guide.
