Romanian Pres Wants Clean Secretaries Of State

Romanian president Traian Basescu said Wednesday, at the ceremony in which the interior minister was sworn in, that "there are controversial secretaries of state," adding two secretaries of sate are mentioned in debates on connections with the oil segment.

"There are controversial secretaries of state,” said the head of state, adding "it was one of the objectives of the current government to have ministers beyond any shadow of a doubt that they could be under the influence of people outside politics."

Basescu said there already are two secretaries of state under dispute because of their connections in the oil industry.
