Romanian Prosecutors Launch Criminal Investigation Into Weapons Warehouse Break-In

Prosecutors launched an inquiry over theft, violation of the regime of weapons and ammunition and breaking and entering.
 
Military prosecutors were notified Wednesday by the Ministry of Defense that a weapons storage facility had been broken into.
 
Criminal investigation “in rem” entails the investigation of the circumstances of certain deeds, without having any suspects to prosecute.
 
About 50 weapons are alleged to be missing and the locks on the warehouse were found broken on Wednesday.
 
Bucharest police spokesman Christian Ciocan said filters have been organized as of Wednesday at the entrances and exists of capital city Bucharest. 
 
Filters were extended countrywide and police pulled over and checked thousands of cars for weapons.
