Minculescu had a liver transplant last week, and the donor was his wife. The singer needed two more surgical procedures, which were also successful.

"They’re both doing well, they’re out of intensive care. They’ll stay in the hospital a few more weeks. They’ve started recovery procedures and we’ll know exactly how long they’ll have to stay in the hospital depending on how physical therapy goes. But everything is fine, they need no further surgery,” Florin Minculescu said.

"Dad said he hopes to be back on stage this summer,” he added.

Minculescu, 50, is suffering from polycystic liver and kidney disease, a hereditary illness, and required a liver transplant.
