Three Injured In Intl Service Helicopter Emergency Landing

An Alouette helicopter belonging to the Romanian Intelligence Service, or SRI, made for an emergency landing Thursday mourning in southern Romania, injuring the two crew members and the fighter on board.

The three were taken to hospital immediately and the helicopter caught fire.

Intelligence Service spokesman Marius Bercaru told MEDIAFAX the three were taken to the Floreasca emergency hospital in Bucharest and their injuries are not life-threatening.

Bercaru added the Romanian aeronautical authority will investigate the incident. The helicopter was taking part in an exercise of the service’s anti-terrorist brigade
