A fost desemnat jocul anului 2022

Publicul a decis – un joc old-school dificil trebuie să devină jocul unui an dificil, iar acela nu poate să fie decât Elden Ring. 

Elden Ring este un joc de rol de acţiune dezvoltat de FromSoftware şi distribuit de Bandai Namco Entertainment. Povestea a fost creată de Hidetaka Miyazaki, ajutat de scriitorul de romane fanteziste cunoscut pentru Urzeala Tronurilor, George R. R. Martin.

Gamespot anunţă şi jocurile care au câştigat premiile pentru celelalte categorii, în special God of War Ragnarok care a luat cele mai multe, inclusiv pentru actorul vocal al anului, categorie câştigată de Christopher Judge.

Anterior, God of War a câştigat titlul de jocul anului în 2018.
