Another record of infections: 3.186 cases of COVID-19 in Romania in 24 hours

On Friday, a new record of SARS-CoV-2 infections was registered in Romania, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) announcing 3.186 new cases and 52 deaths. In eight counties, the coefficient of infections accumulated at 14 days exceeded the threshold of 1,5 per thousand inhabitants.

As of Friday, in Romania, 148.886 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID - 19) were confirmed, 114.792 patients being declared cured.

In the last 24 hours, 3.186 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered.

According to GCS, the counties in which the coefficient of infections accumulated at 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is above the threshold of 1,5 are Bucharest - 2,28, Alba - 1,98, Vâlcea - 1,98, Iaşi - 1,80 , Bacău - 1,72, Teleorman - 1,62, Neamţ - 1,62 and Vaslui - 1,59.

From Thursday to Friday, 52 deaths were reported (24 men and 28 women). These are patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeş, Bacău, Botoşani, Brăila, Braşov, Caraş-Severin, Constanţa, Dâmboviţa, Dolj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Iaşi, Mureş, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Sibiu, Suceava, Tulcea, Vaslui, Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest.
