Bucharest Apartment Rents Fall By Up To 20% YY In Jan - Survey

Rents for apartments in Romania’s capital city Bucharest dropped by 10% to 20% in January compared with the same period of 2010, with the highest fall in case of 4-room flats, according to a survey of AnunturiParticulari.ro real estate website.

Bucharest Apartment Rents Fall By Up To 20% YY In Jan - Survey

In January, the average rent of a one-room apartment stood at EUR235 per month, down around 10% on the year and 35% lower compared with January 2009.

For two-room flats, the average rent was at EUR326 in January, down 12% on the year and 37% lower from January 2009.

A three-room apartment in Bucharest was rented with EUR459 on average, down 15% from last January, and around 40% lower from the same month of 2009.

The average rental price of four-room apartments in Bucharest dropped 20% on the year in January, at around EUR620. Compared with January 2009, the rents for a four-room apartment almost halved, the survey says.

According to AnunturiParticulari.ro, 664 one-room apartments, over 800 two-room flats, 440 three-room apartments and approximately 94 four-room flats were offered for rental in January in Bucharest.

Anunturiparticulari.ro was launched in 2001 by Agentie.NET, and monitors all real estate announcements published by individuals in newspapers and on the internet.
