Coronavirus 26 march: Romania reports more than 6.000 new cases of coronavirus

In the last 24 hours, 6.516 new cases of COVID-19 have been registered and 116 people have died after being infected with SARS-COV-2. The number of patients in intensive care wards is increasing.

To date, on 26 March, in Romania, 926.310 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

830.270 patients have been declared cured.

Following the tests performed at national level, compared to the last report, 6.516 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) have been reported, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test.

Apart from the newly confirmed cases, following the retesting of patients who had been already positive, 1.311 people were reconfirmed as positive.

To date, 22.835 people diagnosed with SARS - CoV - 2 infection have died.

Between 25.03.2021 and 26.03.2021, there have been reported 116 deaths (59 men and 57 women), of patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeş, Arad, Bucharest, Bacău, Bihor, Bistriţa-Năsăud, Brăila, Botoşani, Braşov, Buzău, Cluj, Caraş-Severin, Constanţa, Covasna, Dâmboviţa, Dolj, Gorj, Hunedoara, Harghita, Ilfov, Ialomiţa, Mehedinţi, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Suceava, Teleorman, Tulcea, Timiş, Vaslui, Vrancea.
