George W. Bush Left For Constanta To Meet President Basescu

U.S. president George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush boarded Air Force One Wednesday and left for Romania’s southeastern region of Constanta, where the White house leader meets with Romanian president Traian Basescu at noon.

Bush and Basescu will hold joint press statements after the meeting at the protocol villa in the sea-side resort of Neptun.
 
The meeting will also be attended by U.S. ambassador to Bucharest Nicholas Taubman, U.S. state secretary Condoleezza Rice, state secretary Joshua Bolten, White House adviser for security matters Stephen Hadley, and communication adviser to Bush, Kevin Sullivan.
 
The Romanian delegation, led by the head of state, includes foreign minister Adrian Cioroianu, defense minister Teodor Melescanu, presidential national security adviser Mihai Stanisoara, presidential adviser for international relations Anca Ilinoiu, Romanian ambassador to Washington Adrian Cosmin Vierita, foreign ministry state secretary Victor Nicula and the president’s spokesman  Valeriu Turcan.
