The list of countries considered "red zones" has been updated on Thursday, announces the National Institute of Public Health (INPS). It contains 12 countries, compared to five until now. The new list will come into effect on Friday.

Institute for Public Health: The red zones list has been updated, it contains 12 countries

Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Iran, the UK, the Netherlands, USA and Turkey are considered "red zones" as a result of coronavirus cases. The list has been updated on Thursday, according to the National Institute for Public Health. So far, only five of these countries had been on this list.

Thus, Romanian citizens returning from these states will enter into institutionalized quarantine for 14 days.

At the same time, INPS announces that all persons arriving from an international trip are obliged to be isolated at home for 14 days.

The new list comes into effect on Friday, at 00.00, according to the INSP website.
