The unionists will meet on Wednesday with Education Minister Daniel Funeriu and the Social Dialogue Commission.
In the meeting, the unions will be informed that, according to the Education Ministry's analyses, it is possible to apply Government Emergency Ordinance 114/2009 cutting 15,000 jobs in the system as of September 1, 2010, the Ministry announced on Friday.
Minister Funeriu said on January 12 that the Ordinance can be applied without affecting the education process.
The government passed an emergency ordinance in December to cut the number of jobs in the education system by 10% in 2010 compared to 2004. The cut is to be operated in two stages, by August 31 and by December 31.
