Romania: In the last 24 hours, 3.611 new cases of COVID-10 and 120 deaths

Following the tests performed at national level, compared to the last report, 3.611 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) have been reported in Romania, these being cases that had not previously had a test positive, as well as 129 deaths.

Until Monday in Romania, 977.986 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID - 19) have been confirmed. 875.487 patients have been declared cured and 24.190 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection died.

Between 04.04.2021 and 05.04.2021, there have been reported 120 deaths (64 men and 56 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeş, Bacău, Bihor, Bistriţa-Năsăud, Botoşani, Braşov, Brăila, Călăraşi, Cluj, Constanţa, Dâmboviţa, Dolj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomiţa, Maramureş, Mehedinţi, Neamţ, Satu Mare, Sălaj, Sibiu, Suceava, Teleorman, Timiş, Vaslui, Vâlcea, Ilfov and Bucharest Municipality.

Of these, two deaths were recorded in the age category 30-39 years, five deaths in the age category 40-49 years, seven deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 41 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 35 deaths in the age group 70-79 years and 30 deaths in the category over 80 years.

116 of the registered deaths were of some patients who presented comorbidities and four deceased patients did not present comorbidities.

In the profile health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 14.165. Of these, 1.478 are hospitalized in intensive care units (ATI).
