Romania Registers 1146 AH1N1 Infection Cases, 89 In Last 24 Hours
The Romanian Health Ministry Thursday announced 89 new cases of AH1N1 flu infection were confirmed in 13 counties and capital Bucharest in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of infections to 1,146.

Most of the infections were confirmed in Botosani county (37) and in Bucharest (30), the ministry said in a press release. The other cases were registered in the counties of Arges (4), Constanta, Dolj, Harghita, Iasi, Prahova, Teleorman, Ilfov (2 each), Covasna, Giurgiu, Hunedoara and Timis (1 each).
Several schools suspended their activity for seven days, either in individual classes or altogether.
In the last 24 hours, three nurses and two doctors in Botosani county and one nurse and one doctor in Iasi county were confirmed as infected with AH1N1 flu.
