Romania’s Rompetrol Group Changes Mgmt Structure, Patriciu Stays CEO

Romania’s second-largest oil company, Rompetrol Group NV, changed its administration structure following the 75% sale deal to Kazakhstan's state energy company KazMunaiGaz, local oil tycoon Dinu Patriciu remaining Rompetrol’s chief executive office, the company said in a statement Friday.

"One member of the administration council fulfills an executive and administrative position, dealing with Rompetrol’s daily operations. Dinu Patriciu will fill in this CEO position, the highest position in the group," the statement read.

Rompetrol shifted from a two-tier to a single-tier management structure and has an administration council.

KazMunaiGaz appointed the eight members of the Board, six of whom are representatives of the Kazakhstan-based company, and two of Rompetrol Holding.

Daniyar Berlibaiev was designated chairman of Rompetrol Group. Berlibaiev is KazMunayGaz’ vice-president.
