Romania’s largest carmaker Dacia Automobile will perform anticorrosion tests at all its Logan sedan models manufactured at the end of 2006, after the carmaker noticed “oxidation points near the back wheels’ area at certain vehicles.”

If such oxidation markers are discovered at the Logan sedan models, then a special protection wax will be injected in certain parts of the car’s body.

Owners of Dacia models produced late 2006, will be notified in a letter to present themselves into Dacia authorized services. They will not have to pay for the respective service.

The carmaker failed to give information on the number of Logan Sedan models sold in Romania at the end of 2006.

The total sales of Romanian carmaker Dacia in Romania rose to 102,062 units in 2007, exclusively for the Logan model. Sales on all markets climbed by 17.4% in 2007, to 230,473 units, from 196,378 units registered in 2006.
