Romanian Children To Enjoy Smarty TV As Of Sunday

Smarty TV channel, operated on digital platform Boom TV, will be officially launched in Romania on Sunday during an event organized in Bucharest’s Tineretului Park, starting 10:00 local time.

Smarty TV was authorized by Romania’s National Audiovisual Council on March 27 and started broadcasting on April 17.

Smarty TV targets children aged four to 13 and broadcasts educational, cultural and religious programs, as well as films, documentaries and cartoons.

Investments in Smarty TV reach nearly EUR500,000 and the TV channel will be included in the Kids Zone package, which also includes Boom Hop! for children aged 0 to three.

Smarty operates in Romania via Boom Extrasatelit and Ana-Ney Communications, leader on the Israeli television market.

Ana-Ney Communications started to operate in 2000 and unveiled the first wave of digital channels - Good Life, Ego, Nickeldon, MTV Base – all based in Israel.

Boom TV owns ten TV channels: Boom Action, Boom Comedy, Boom Classic, Boom Drama, Boom Indian, Boom Music, Boom Cinema 1, Boom Cinema 2, Boom Sport One (sports television), Boom Secrets (erotic television) and Boom Hop! (children’s television), www.boomextra.ro informs.
