Stolojan reiterated Friday that talks on the future governing structure were held only between the Democratic Liberal Party (PDL), the Social Democratic Party (PSD) and the Hungarian minority party (UDMR).

"The National Liberal Party (PNL) refused to attend negotiations on setting up the future governing structure and actually blocked any dialogue in this respect. Therefore, talks with the liberals on the matter are over," Stolojan told a press release.

Liberal sources told MEDIAFAX Thursday that the liberals and democrat-liberals have recently talked about a potential parliamentary collaboration and about backing a potential minority government formed of the Democratic Liberal Party (PDL) and the Hungarian minority party (UDMR), which might be created due to incongruities between the democrat liberals and the social democrats.
