Romanian Social Democrats To Negotiate Will All Parties To Form Majority – Official
Nastase said discussions start Tuesday, but declined to say what the party’s main negotiation items will be. He also said the party hasn’t yet designated its negotiation team, but will decide on it Tuesday.
Final results on the vote released Tuesday showed social democrats in the lead with 33.09% for the Chamber of Deputies and 34.16% for Senate, followed by democrat liberals with 32.36% and 33.57, liberals with 18.57% and 18.74 and the Hungarian minority party with 6.17% and 6.39%.
As no party gained an outright majority, the major contender will meet to negotiate in view of forming a majority in Parliament and making up the future Government.
