Romanian organized crime prosecutors in Ploiesti, southern Romania, arrested for 24 hours three drug dealing suspects, one of whom is a soldier who has participated in several military missions in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Romanian Soldier Once Deployed In Iraq, Afghanistan Arrested For Drug Dealing

According to the police, a fourth person is investigated at large on the same chargers.

Ciprian Ionut Vatra, who currently serves at a military unit in Predeal, a mountain resort in south-central Romania, Toma Cristian Marius and Teodor Andra Ioana are accused of having sold significant quantities of cannabis in mountain resort Sinaia in the March-June, 2010 interval.

Vatra and Toma were arrested during a sting operation organized Wednesday evening. Organized crime prosecutors requested judges to issue a 29-day preventive arrest against the three alleged drug traffickers.
