Where to go on holiday in Europe for less than 100 euros per day. Bucharest, in second place

With an average cost of accommodation in three-star hotels of 32 euros per person, and local beer at 1.50 euros, the capital of Albania, Tirana, ranked first in a ranking for the best stays under 100 euros per night, according to Euronews.

What criteria were followed for this ranking

To make the ranking, the average costs of things like a stay at a three-star hotel, a meal at a cheap restaurant, a coffee, a daily bus pass and paid tickets to tourist attractions were taken into account.

Second place was taken by Bucharest. A dinner in the city costs an average of just over 12 euros. A daily bus pass costs around 1.50 euros.

Two places from Turkey were in the top five: Antalya in third place, tied with Warsaw in Poland, and Istanbul in fifth place.

Hotels in Istanbul were among the most affordable, with average prices of 28 euros per person. A cheap meal cost between 8 and 9 euros.
