Doctors will work in a hospital near Milan, one of the worst affected areas in Italy.

Maria, a nurse in Târgu-Mureş, says that she finds it very important to help her colleagues in Italy, while informing the doctors in Romania that "Everything will be fine!".

When leaving, the ambassador of Italy wanted to send a message to all those who left for Milan.

"I would like to whole-heartedly embrace you, unfortunately I cannot, but I want to express my gratitude to my country for your gesture", said Marco Giungi, Italy's ambassador.

The flight was carried out by an aircraft of the Ministry of Defence, within the Civil Protection Mechanism of the European Union.

The medical staff are from Bacău, Târgu Mureş, Timişoara and Bucharest and will remain in Italy for 14 days.
