Italian Police Arrests Romanian Attempting To Rape Italian Woman

A Romanian, aged 19, was arrested in Rome suburbs after being caught trying to rape an Italian woman, La Repubblica said in Friday’s online edition.

The incident occurred in the suburb Albano Laziale, near Rome. The Romanian was caught by a police patrol while he was accosting a 21 year-old woman, in an attempt to rape her.

The Italian woman was taken to the precinct, and she confirmed that the Romanian tried to rape her.

The police are investigating the case, and do not leave out the possibility that the Romanian knew the alleged victim.
