Nine Consortiums, One Co Race To Provide Road Upkeep Services

Nine consortiums and one company filed bids and qualified in the auction set up by the Bucharest Regional Roads and Bridges Department (DRDP) to select companies to provide maintenance services over the next four years for the national roads it administrates.

Thus, consortiums ADP Constanta/Colas/Apolodor Comimpex/Romprest Service/Romprest Security/Somaro/Egis, Euro Construct Trading '98/Han Group/Prima Guard Security International and Pa&Co International Company were selected for the first region, northern Bucharest.

Consortiums ADP Constanta/Colas/Apolodor Comimpex/Romprest Service/Romprest Security/Somaro/Egis, Strabag/Anduna Servimob/Elite Guard West, Gecor/ Pa&Co International/Straco Group/Prima Guard International qualified for the second region, southern Bucharest, while consortium Tel Drum/Romstrade/Nova Force qualified for the third region, Alexandria, some 80 kilometers away from Bucharest.

Consortium Argecom/Euro Construct Trading '98/ Quartz Security filed bid for the fourth region of Pitesti, southern Romania, while consortiums ADP Constanta/Colas/Apolodor Comimpex/Romprest Service/Romprest Security/Somaro/Egis and Euro Construct Trading '98/Prima Guard Security International were selected for the fifth region of Targoviste, southern Romania.

Consortium Romstrade/Nova Force and Pa&Co International Company were selected for the sixth region of Ploiesti, southern Romania, while consortiums ADP Constanţa/Colas/Apolodor Comimpex/Romprest Service/Romprest Security/Somaro/Egis and Delta ACM 93/Sird/Tel Drum/Quartz Security were selected for the last region of Buzau, eastern Romania.

These auctions have targeted mainly construction companies so far, but, they currently target the provision of security and sanitation services as well.

The contract for the provision of snow-removing services alone is estimated at 924.38 million lei (EUR1-RON3.5507), according to DRDP.

DRDP administrates 2,585 kilometers of national roads, as well as Bucharest – Pitesti highway, which stretches onto 94.5 kilometers.
