Plane Passengers Failing To Fill In Form On Health To Face Criminal Charges – Romanian Health Min

Bazac said people who fill in the form using wrong information or do not fill them in at all will answer as per the Criminal Code, for breaching the provisions of articles 308, 180-184 and 179.

According to article 308, on the obstruction of the fight against diseases, “failing to respect measures regarding the prevention and fight against infectious illnesses, if resulting in the spread of such an illness, is punishable by one month to two years in prison or by a fine”.

Articles 180 to 184 refer to criminal charges in the case of bodily harm and article 179 refers to the cause or assistance of suicide.

Bazac said that as of June 1, direct flights between Romania and the United States will have teams tasked with sorting passengers in the case of illnesses. Procedures will be maintained in the case of other flights, but there will be a special line for flights from the US, Mexico or Canada, which will feature mandatory forms to fill in when entering the country, Bazac said.
