"Given the social importance of these regulations, as well as the interest expressed by every social structure, we believe it is necessary to get professionals and the civil society involved in the system's reorganization, in order to solve its main problems - financial imbalance and inadequate quality of medical services," state secretary Vasile Cepoi said in a press release by the Health Ministry.

Discussions will take place according to a schedule to be posted on the Ministry's website, www.ms.ro, by Wednesday, January 25.

"The specialists will meet Thursday and Friday with representatives of the Romanian Doctors' College," Cepoi said.

Every proposal generated by the talks will be published on the website and the Ministry will inform the public regularly on the new bill's development process.
