Romanian Realtor To Offer Home Trial Period For Prospective Buyers

Prospective homebuyers can live for a while in an apartment similar to the one they picked, but furnished and fully equipped, to see how they like it, much like they would drive test a car.

"Any downpayment is returned in full if the prospective buyer is not happy with the home they picked," the realtor said in a statement Monday.

Romania's real estate market turned boom to bust after the global crisis tightened credit markets, leaving citizens with less cash to spend on property.

The real estate developer's first-half net profit decreased nearly seven-fold, to 2 million lei (EUR1=4.2747), and its first-half turnover decreased 2.6 times, to RON29.6 million.

Impact shares on the Bucharest Stock Exchange were trading at RON0.416 Monday, down 3.26% from Friday.
