Romania’s flag carrier Tarom will include a new Boeing 737-800 Next Generation in its fleet as of January 24, 2009, which was leased for a five-year period.

Romanian Tarom Extends Fleet With New Boeing 737-800 Generation

Tarom ordered its first two Boeing 737-800 in 2008 and included the new aircrafts in its fleet on November 20 and early December 2008, respectively.

The airliner leased all three Boeing 737-800 aircrafts for a five-year period.

A press release of Tarom said the Boeing 737-800 seats 186 passengers, flies distances up to 5,420 kilometers and uses fuel-efficient CFM56-7 engines and winglet devices.

Tarom’s fleet includes 24 aircrafts, namely, two Airbus 310-325, four Airbus A318-100, seven ATR 42-500, four Boeing 737-300, four Boeing 737-700 and three Boeing 737- 800 Next Generation.
