Pacuraru said 600 Romanians were present on the first day of the job fair organized in Spain’s Valencia and Castellon.

The minister said the country’s staffing agency offered 8,000 jobs, while another 3,000 were offered by construction companies Bechtel and Selina, and cable television operator RDS & RCS.

Pacuraru stressed the wages offered to Romanian migrant workers willing to return to their home country are comparable with wages in EU states.

Romania’s Ministry of Labor, Family and Equal Opportunities organizes a job fair and also launches an informational campaign Saturday and Sunday in Spain’s Castellon de la Plana for Romanians working there.
