Rompetrol, Lukoil Romania Cut Pump Prices

Romania’s second-largest oil company Rompetrol Group NV and Lukoil Romania cut Friday gasoline and diesel oil pump prices, the companies said.

Rompetrol Group NV, owned by Kazakhstan's KazMunaiGaz, cut Friday its pump prices by 0.03 lei (EUR1=RON3.5721) per liter, after the RON0.05 additional cut on Thursday.

Rompetrol will cut its Premium Euro 4 gasoline price to RON4.2 per liter. One liter of Efix 95 gasoline will cost RON4.16, while one liter of unleaded Euro Super 98 will cost RON4.79.

The company will cut its Efix Euro 4 diesel price to RON4.53 per liter and the Super Euro 5 price to RON4.82 per liter.

Rompetrol hiked its pump prices by RON0.03 per liter a week ago.

Lukoil Romania, a unit of Russian oil company Lukoil Holdings, cut Friday gasoline and diesel oil pump prices, by RON0.12 per liter and up to RON0.08 per liter, respectively, after a similar cut last week at certain type of fuel.

Thus, one liter of COR 98 unleaded Super Euroluk gasoline will cost RON4.4, while one liter of Euroluk gasoline will cost RON4.04.

The price of one liter of diesel oil Euro Diesel will be RON4.43.

The price of COR 95 Premium gasoline and Super Euro Diesel is RON4.06 and RON4.69, respectively.

International oil price was down 13% last week, to around $129 per barrel.

Romania’s largest oil company Petrom SA (SNP.RO) hiked Tuesday gasoline and diesel oil pump prices by RON0.8, and RON0.06 respectively.

Lukoil, Petrom and Rompetrol own the highest number of gas stations in Romania, covering together over 60% of the market.
