Current laws say a self-employed person (PFA) may not hire third parties, but the draft ordinance removes this restriction.

"A self-employed person may carry out their activity individually and independently, or may employ third parties, with individual work contracts," says the emergency ordinance, which amends an earlier act concerning the economic activities of self-employed persons.

The Government argues the act is needed urgently to stimulate the business environment and improve the speed of economic recovery by increasing revenue to the state budget and benefit collections.
