Tăriceanu urges the Goverment to act in order to restart the economy: We need to return to work

Călin Popescu Tăriceanu told the Government, through a message on Facebook, that a new state of emergency, other military ordinances or fines will not keep Romanians away from work.

"If our rulers imagine that a new state of emergency, other military ordinances or tonnes of fines will keep Romanians away from work, it means they do not live with their feet on the ground. I have not been to the countryside since the state of emergency, but I can say that in Bucharest people are resuming their activities, quietly, each with what kind of protection measures they can meet", wrote Tariceanu on the social network.

According to him, Romanians have to return, gradually, after Easter, to work.

"I want to be among the first to say that we have to go back to work. I'm not saying we have to go back tomorrow, but I do say we have to make plans to come back as soon as possible. It annoys me that the governors refuse any discussion on this topic: what are the best measures we can take because after Easter we can go back, maybe gradually, to work?”, wrote the ALDE leader.

He specified that the Executive should take measures to enable people to resume their activity and criticized PNL for the lack of masks.

"I do not want to imagine that they are so cynical that they stop us from going to work just because they are not able to find masks!", said Călin Popescu Tăriceanu.

The former prime minister warned PNL "to finish playing the tests and start testing seriously".
