Romanian Carmaker Dacia Sales In France Up Nearly 20% In March

In March 2008, registrations of Dacia cars in France totaled 3,614 units and the entire market stood at 231,608 cars.

In the first quarter of the year, Dacia car registrations in France decreased 7.1% to 11,356 cars from 12,222 cars in the first quarter of 2008, according to CCFA.

In the first quarter of the year, the French auto market posted a decline of 7.2%, to 599,615 cars from 646,445 cars in the same period the year before.

The sales of French carmaker Renault, which owns Romanian carmaker Dacia, on the French market increased 0.7% in March, to 60,956 units, but posted a decrease of 11.2% in the first quarter, to 140,284 cars.
