Two more deaths in patients confirmed with COVID-19 have been announced on Thursday by the Strategic Communication Group. The death toll in Romania reaches 229.

According to GCS, a 48-year-old woman from Vrancea county died on Saturday. This was confirmed with the new coronavirus on March 31 at Focşani county Hospital and was transferred intubated to Colentina Hospital in Bucharest, where she was admitted to ATI. The woman was suffering from second-degree obesity.

Another 64-year-old woman from Bucharest died on April 1, after being confirmed the day before with COVID-19. She was transferred on March 30 from the Balş Institute to the Colentina Bucharest Hospital. The woman also suffered from cardiovascular and kidney disease.
