The airliner said all Italian airports will be closed to traffic on June 21, between 8.00 am and 4 pm, local time.

Wizz Air’ passengers have been notified about the cancelled flights and they can book new flights free of charge, the airliner said.

Initially, Wizz Air said six flights were cancelled due to the strike, namely Katowice – Rome and back, Warsaw - Milan Bergamo and back and Cluj - Milan Bergamo and back.

The airliner later revised its statement and included flights Bucharest-Venice Trevison and back on the list.
