"Ono will submit «Film No. 5» for the event” Razvan Ion, co-director of the Biennial, told MEDIAFAX. Asked whether Yoko Ono would attend the event, he said that depends on the 75 year-old artist’s state of health and personal problems.

Japanese artist and singer, but mostly famous for her marriage to John Lennon, Yoko Ono was among the first members of the Fluxus movement, a loose association of Dada-inspired avant-garde artists that developed in the early 1960s.

The theme of this year’s Bucharest Biennale is "Being Here. Mapping the Contemporary", suggesting that maps and mapping are but mirrors of the world, simulating reality.
