Romania’s Central Electoral Office decided Monday to declare the liberal candidate for the mayor seat in Voinesi commune, in the eastern Romanian county of Iasi, the winner in Sunday’s second round of local elections, following the death of the rightful election winner.

Two youngsters lounging on a restaurant terrace were injured Tuesday when a piece of plaster fell off the exterior of the Students House in Iasi, eastern Romania.
