About 37,500 Romanians Spent Easter In Country’s Tourist Resorts, Dn 25% Compared To 2009
The number of Romanians who spent Easter in the country’s authorized boarding houses decreased by about 25% this year, to 37,500 million tourists, and the average price paid for tourism services was down 20% compared to 2009, the Romanian Tourism Employers’ Federation said in a press release Monday.

According to the federation, about 37,500 Romanians spent Easter holidays in the country's authorized boarding houses and the total costs for tourism services reached 15.18 million lei (EUR1=RON4.1034).
The average sum spent by a tourist on tourism services nudged RON405, compared to RON518 in 2009.
Last year, 48,500 Romanians spent Easter holidays in the country's tourist resorts and total costs for tourism services reached RON25.12 million.
About 18,000 Romanians chose to spend Easter in boarding houses in rural areas. Only 40% of tourism accommodation in Prahova Valley mountain resorts was occupied, while the occupancy rate in other mountain resorts reached 25%.
According to the press release, about 1,500 Romanian tourists spent Easter holidays in the Danube Delta.
